Some may call The Canadian Tuxedo a fashion faux pas; I call it fabulous. However, there is a level of tact necessary that is crucial in preventing you from becoming the disastrous 2001 Justin/Britney denim duo we all (regretfully) remember. But do not be intimated, because when done right, which I’m here to help you do, this outfit can be a killer fashion statement!

I believe mixing shades and colors of denim is a sure fire way to look well put-together and stylish.

With Spring just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to pull out your white and/or colored denim and start mixing and matching. I also LOVE dip-dyed and printed denim, as it adds that extra edge.

This button-down denim shirt from The Gap offers a refreshingly clean and chic approach to any basic by adding a Hawaiian-themed print/ombre dye. This can be worn buttoned all the way up for a preppy look, left unbutton over a camisole/midriff-bearing top for a relaxed, youthful look, or if you’re feeling flirty, buttoned halfway down with the bottom ends tied in a bow and paired with a maxi skirt.

I’ll always love my skinny jeans, but I can’t get enough of my relaxed boyfriend-cut jeans. I scored these at The Gap and am just infatuated with it’s crispy white color and slightly distressed details. They are so chic yet, so comfortable and easy to wear.

This is the perfect sophisticated and stylish spring outfit for lunch and shopping with your girlfriends!
