It's safe to say that spring is in full swing! (with summer just around the corner). The sunny and warm weather that's hit Los Angeles has given me an itch to shop for new summer clothes. I satisfied my urge by paying a visit to my favorite store- Zara. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with pinks, pastels, thigh-skimming dress lines and etheral chiffon. I felt like a kid in a candy store frantically skimming through the racks. I was thoroughly impressed by their Chanel inspired early spring/summer collection. I spotted a drool-worthy floor length ivory lace dress that had my name all over it.
As I drove home, I dreamt up all the ways I could wear it; as a chic beach cover-up for a romantic holiday, over a nude slip dress for a summer night out, and even as a daring peek-a-boo look, wearing just boy shorts and a bralette. Initially, I was worried this look might cross the threshold from stylish to trashy, but once I put it together, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite it being a sheer lace, it offered plenty of coverage once I threw on full boy shorts and a wide bralette. I find this look to be feminine yet daring, with an ability to transform from day to night with ease. I kept my accessories simple and elegant with this gorgeous lariat by Jewels for Georgi Girl and the camel suede sandals by Zara.
A few days later, I modified the dress a little by adding a black studded waist belt and a cobalt blue blazer.
