As summer approaches and the temperature climbs, out comes the sundresses and short shorts! If you are like me my legs and arms are a blinding shade of pale and not ready to be bared for all to see. Sure you can hit up the tanning salon and get a mystic or lay in the bed, but that can be costly and time consuming. You can give your skin a summer glow right at your own home.
I like to begin the tanning process by slathering on Jergens Natural Glow daily to start the process. This works by gradually giving you a slight bronze. After several uses you will begin to see a natural difference.
I know a lot of you out there are nervous about using self-tanners because you run the risk of streaking. This can be avoided by thoroughly exfoliating your skin to create a smooth surface before applying. Also picking the right tanner is very important. I love the St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse. It’s costly but definitely worth the splurge, as the end result is a beautiful bronze tan. The more affordable choice is the L’Oreal Sublime Bronze Spray Tan. Make sure when using this product that you hold the can far enough from the application area and allow the mist to gently settle on the skin. Hold still while the product dries and make sure it is completely dry before getting dressed. I also recommend not showering for at least 8 hours after using.
