I'm a huge fan of green tea. In fact, I drink it religiously. So, when I came across this recipe for a DIY green tea sugar scrub I could not resist! And what perfect timing since I've been struggling with dry and chapped skin thanks to this unusually cold weather here in Los Angeles.

This green tea scrub was seriously so easy to make and only required four ingredients. Each of them has incredible benefits and a unique way of supporting healthy skin. The scrub is simple, gentle and yet very effective.

What You Need:

1 1/2 cup of Organic Sugar
2tsp Matcha Green tea powder
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
2 Green tea bags (not brewed)

Combine all the ingredients and mix well.

To use I recommend you start with wet skin in the shower. Let your shower water run with hot or warm water for about 5-10 minutes to soften your skin. Apply the scrub in a circular motion and then rinse off with warm water. You can use a mild soap to wash off after if you wish.

My skin was incredibly soft and moisturized after my first use and now i'm hooked! I even had enough leftover that I was able to store the rest in a jar for later use. It can be kept that way for about 2-4 weeks. Go ahead and give it a try! Let us know how it worked for you.
