Washing your hair is something you do often, but did you know you could be doing it wrong? Using the right technique can make a huge difference in the way your hair looks and feels. If you are making some common mistakes washing your hair, you can actually do more harm without even realizing.

For getting the best results possible, simply follow the steps below.

1-    Start of by brushing your hair before you get in the shower. By doing this first, less hair will get caught in your drain, and it will also reduce the chances of your hair breaking as well as help stimulate the circulation in your scalp.

2-      Next get your hair thoroughly wet, and then apply a dollop of shampoo in your hand. Begin to lather your hair at the roots and work your way down.

3-     If you have long hair you may need more shampoo. When your hair is fully lathered give yourself a nice gentle massage with your fingertips. Gently massage your head in circular motions. Don’t scrub the ends.

4-    Rinse away all of the grimy residue that was in your hair. Make sure you set your water to a lukewarm temperature and rinse your hair out until it is squeaky clean!

5-     After you have rinsed out the shampoo, squeeze all excess water out of the hair and then apply conditioner. This will help detangle, hydrate damaged ends, and even make your hair easier to manage. It’s important to rinse with cool water to seal off the cuticles.
